5) Sanibel Causeway Beach
Located between Sanibel and Fort Myers, Causeway Beach is perhaps the most popular spot for fishing, watersorts, and family-friendly gatherings. The location itself is quite picturesque as you can see both Fort Myers and the historic Sanibel Island Lighthouse from the beach. Restrooms are on site and parking is free. 4) Turner Beach (Captiva Island)
Turner Beach (Blind Pass) is the beach that adjoins Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. Its panoramic views are a photographer's dream and if you’re looking to fish you can cast your line right off the bridge. Restrooms are on site and parking is $2/Hr., but very limited. 17200 Captiva Drive
3) Gulfside City Park (Algiers Beach)
If you’re looking for more of a traditional location for grilling and picnics, Gulfside City Park (Algiers Beach) is for you. There you’ll be surrounded by trees and greenery while just steps to the beach. BBQ grills, bike racks and outdoor showers are also available. Restrooms are on site and parking is $2/Hr.

2) Lighthouse Beach & Fishing Pier
Adjacent to the Historic Sanibel Island Lighthouse is Lighthouse Beach & Fishing Pier, the most popular spot for fishing on Sanibel Island. You can wade knee high in the water right next to the pier and the lighthouse is just steps away. Note: The Lighthouse itself is not open to the public, but pictures can be taken. Restrooms are on site and parking is $2/Hr. Follow Periwinkle Way east till you reach the public parking lot.

With no condos or resorts in its line of sight, Bowman’s is an intimate, extremely relaxing beach, making the perfect day trip for couples or families alike.
