Sanibel Island Farmers Market is one of the best things to do in Sanibel Island because of its local roots, family-friendly atmosphere and outdoor, open-air setup – making it one of the most popular activities to do on Sundays in Sanibel Island.
Let's find out why.
Why We Love Sanibel Island Farmers Market
Every Sunday morning – October through May only – local farmers and vendors from both Southwest Florida and Sanibel Island gather at the grounds of City Hall and set up a local roots farmers market – selling fresh seafood, locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, gourmet cheeses, homemade salsas and dips and other eats.
Variety. Variety. Variety.
In addition to the local fresh food and grocery, 40 market vendors also sell everything from handmade soaps, candles and jewelry to pet-friendly treats and other novelty items. Added in 2019 was the addition of prepared meals-to-go and rotating artists. Outdoors. Open-air. Free parking.
We feel the outdoor, open-air setup is absolutely perfect for families. The casual atmosphere provides an opportunity for
all ages to catch some fresh air and experience the one-of-a-kind, true laid-back nature of Sanibel Island – all while supporting local business and grabbing some great food while you're at it. Oh, and free parking!
